Cardiology diagnoses and treatments for heart problems are provided at The Foscote Hospital by our team of four highly experienced consultant cardiologists. Heart conditions include arrhythmia, chest pain, congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, valvular disease, hypertension and heart failure.
The heart is a vital organ, constantly beating to pump blood around your body. Sometimes heart beats become irregular or abnormal, which is known as arrhythmia. This may be caused by problems with the electrical system which regulates the heartbeat, by circulatory problems such as high blood pressure (hypertension) and coronary artery disease or by structural problems, such as heart muscle disease. Arryhthmia can often be harmless and occur in healthy people but in some cases can be far more serious. Our cardiology consultants will carry out detailed diagnosis and identify a suitable course of treatment.
