Biography

Dr Tony Ellis qualified in 1987 from St Thomas’ Hospital, University of London. He undertook his post-graduate training at The Institute of Liver Studies, Kings College Hospital London and St Marks Hospital Harrow.

His interests include all aspects of Hepatology and inflammatory bowel disease.

He is a bowel cancer screening programme accredited colonoscopist.

Dr Ellis also sees patients with symptoms ascribed to irritable bowel syndrome for thorough evaluation.

He is currently responsible for training in gastroenterology nationally as Chairman of The Specialty Advisory Committee for Gastroenterology at The Royal College of Physicians and sits on the examination board for The Specialty Certificate Examination in Gastroenterology.

He is Chairman of The Oxford Gut Club.
